Shahid clears the air about Priyanka
Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are reportedly staying in the same hotel in Bangkok and, apparently, they didn’t talk when they attended an award function in Mumbai recently. Shahid said, ‘Of course, we met and talked, but I don’t see the need to clarify everything to people. Everything between Priyanka and me is cool. There is nothing wrong between us. We are friends.’
So is he single or taken? “It’s called a personal life for a reason, and I would like it to remain that way,” he replies.
About Priyanka Chopra, he says, “When I started working with Priyanka, I thought she was a good actor. After we finished shooting the film, I thought she was a very, very good actor. She is on a creative high right now, doing better roles and movies than before. Priyanka is a team player. She is there to make a good film, not just do her role and go home. It’s exhilarating to work with her because she brings a lot of positivity to the sets. A good script will decide if we will work together again.”
Shahid is quite thrilled about Chance Pe Dance. “I got to indulge my passion for dancing, and I have a good feeling about the movie. It’s a film people will identify with. I think Genelia and I make a good pair on-screen,” he said.
About father Pankaj Kapur’s film, Mausam, he says, “Once I wrap up Parmeet’s film with Anushka Sharma, I will start working on Dad’s film.”
Shahid will be seen in Boney Kapoor’s Serendipity remake – Milenge Milenge; Ahmed Khan’s children’s flick Paathshala, in which he has a special appearance; Ken Ghosh’s musical romantic-comedy Chance Pe Dance and Pankaj Kapur’s love story Mausam in 2010. We can hardly wait!
