On the move… Priyanka Chopra hates holidays

Jet setting Priyanka Chopra has finally come down to Mumbai for a while. And though she’s back home, most of her waking moments are spent either shooting or dubbing. This self-confessed workaholic hates staying home too long…which is two days at a stretch!

She says, “i am so used to working now that if you ask me to take a holiday, i get the jitters. My fervent prayer to God is not to give me any holidays. i absolutely love being in films and not many are lucky enough to be doing what they love. i see no reason to crib.”

Though fiercely ambitious, she is not the kind to plot and plan her career. ‘i go purely by instinct,” says Priyanka. Perhaps that’s why you see her only in commercial masala movies, while some of her contemporaries are aiming for serious, new age cinema.

“Let me first establish myself as a mainstream actor who can shoulder a film on her own. i have a long way to go; i have so much more to learn. And honestly, i don’t think one needs to resort to arty films just to showcase their performance. Even a commercial film can be a platform for good performance,” she reasons.

Priyanka says for her working in a film matters the most. “i am so into the movies that i act in that i lose objectivity. i just can’t be critical about them. i hope that i am involved with successful products.”
