All this while we thought that in the film SALAAM-E-iSHQ, Priyanka Chopra is paired opposite Salman Khan while Akshaye Khanna has Ayesha Takia for company. There is a twist in the tale as both Akshaye Khanna and Priyanka Chopra share the screen space once again AAP Ki KHATiR! Well, at least for a song!
Playing an item girl in the film, Priyanka Chopra jigs along with Akshaye for a number ‘Saiyyan’ that would soon be considered as yet another highlight of the movie.
When the film’s audio was out, the song had seemed tailor-made for Govinda but a surprise came in the form of Priyanka and Akshaye matching steps in what appears to be a stage number/music video.
A ‘qawalli’ with a western fusion element to it, the song is a ‘jugalbandi’ of sorts with Shankar Mahadevan pairing up with Shilpa and Loy Mendonca doing the supporting act. A winner with a beautiful rhythm that hooks you on in the first listening itself, the song only adds on to the fun by keeping the film’s stocks high as it gears up for a January 25 release.
