It was quite a task for film-maker Vishal Bharadwaj who broke some serious sweat to convince Priyanka Chopra to act in his forthcoming film Kaminey. It seems Vishal chased Piggy Chops to USA where she was shooting and managed to convince her to do the small-yet-crucial role in the Shahid Kapur starrer.

A source from the crew says, “Vishal really went the extra mile to woo Priyanka to do his film as she was always his first choice. However, Priyanka wasn’t too keen to do the film as it was a very small role but somehow things fell in place as if the role was just made for her. Priyanka was travelling and was in Miami shooting for Dostana at the same time when Vishal was in the US for some work. As soon as he got to know this, Vishal decided that he would meet her face to face and flew down from New York to Miami to just give her the narration. When Vishal met her, he tried to be a prankster too by teasing her and saying for a while that he had flown all the way from India to Miami for this which really unnerved Piggy Chops. But he revealed the truth just before beginning the narration; Priyanka loved the script and agreed to be on board.”

Vishal confirms, “I have never wooed any woman like that ever. She was dying to refuse the film since her role was so small, but after her narration she said yes. Casting for her role had to be correct since she has a smaller but a catalyst role in the film and Priyanka was the perfect choice.”
