The much-hyped Bollywood movie Drona, unfortunately fell flat. Neither the special effects nor the most expensive villain could save the film. Even while Abhishek’s acting has not been appreciated, co star Priyanka Chopra got her dues. The buzz is that the film should be titled Droni instead of Drona. “Well each film comes with it’s own destiny and all films can’t be a hit. Like there are lows and highs in ones life, there are hits and flops, I pray that the film gets its due but sometimes its just not meant to be,” said actress Priyanka Chopra who was in town recently to launch of a concept watch boutique. “I am extremely grateful to people who have recognised my work and I will try and keep the good work on,” she further added.

Dressed in black, she was in town at UB City for the inaugration of the TAG Heuer boutique.

And while she was here she fell in love with something other than the watch. “The moment I walked in UB City, I said wow why don’t we have something like this in Mumbai,” said the actress. It was Aishwariya Rai who first got associated with the watch brand Longines, had started this trend and now it’s Priyanka Chopra shining all the way sporting her new watch. She says, “When you endorse a brand, your qualities must fit in with the product.” Piggy Chops is all set to sizzle once again. “I have two releases coming up this year. One is Fashion, by Madhur Bhandarkar and the other is Dostana, directed by Karan Johar,” told the actress.

Sechduled to be released on October 29th, Fashion is a film based on the fashion industry in India.

Clearing all myths about the film Priyanka said “It is not a true story or another startling revelation on the fashion world, it’s purely a ficticous story about a samll town girl who come to the tensil town to enter into the fashion world. It’s about her victory and fall. So please clear all these myths that it’s another of a Page 3 sorts.” While deyning the fact that it’s based on a true story, she maintained that inspirations are different from basing a script completely on. “You may get inspired, but that does not mean that it is a direct portrayal of some incident or somebodoy’s life,” she explained. Her next release is the much talked about Karan Johar’s Dostana- a film based on the lives to three friends.

Starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abrahim and Priyanka Chopra, this film has a love angle but minus the girl from the love story. “It’s a comedy film and is about gays, who happen to be my friends,” said Priyanka. Gay film from Karan Johar? Hmm.
