The different avatars of Priyanka Chopra!

The actress lost weight, and even cut off her locks for ‘Fashion’. But for her next release ‘Drona’, the actress is buff and tough, convincingly looking the part of Abhishek’s bodyguard. Then for ‘Dostana’, Priyanka adds Miami glam in a gold swimsuit.

Priyanka admits she is nervous about Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’. But it’s not because of the ‘hot lovemaking’ scene. “The scene in ‘Fashion’ is not such big deal. It’s just been hyped up too much,” says the actress.

Her concerns are different. “Since I’m the protagonist, the onus is on me.”

More so since she reportedly insisted on changing the script. “Being a thinking actor, I had my own inputs. Madhur and I had a lot discussion about Mehgna [her character]. I’m happy with the way it turned out,” she says.

And about the hype around her swimsuit scene in ‘Dostana’? “A swimsuit was the obvious choice — people in Miami go shopping in beachwear.”

This was to have been the year of Priyanka Chopra. She had a line-up of six movies. But all three that released — ‘Love Story 2050′, ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ and ‘Chamku’ — have flopped. And she is also rumoured to have split from boyfriend Harman Baweja.

Priyanka remains optimistic. “I have three films on the floor, and two under production. I think I’m doing well for myself.” She acknowledges that she has competition from Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.

“I consider everyone competition. But healthy competition,” Priyanka says. “I focus on my film rather than the competition.”

Finally the big question — is she single? Priyanka’s reply is emphatic. “Yes. No further comments on that.
