Priyanka Chopra, who plays a supermodel in Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming film, says the movie is like a trip down memory lane for her. The film, Fashion, is about India’s fashion circuit and blatantly shows its positives and negatives, the high life as well as the drug scene.

“For me the film is like a nostalgia trip. Some portions of the plot are similar to my own life story. It narrates the story of a girl from a small town who makes it really big in the fashion circuit. If you look at my life, it’s just the same. I have worked really hard to reach where I have,” Priyanka told After Hrs.

When asked what she thinks about the fact that film exposes the ugly side of the fashion industry like models snorting drugs and sexual exploitations, she says, “The film is a work of fiction. The characters are fictional. The events are fictional. Some incidents that have been shown might be based on reality, but we are not taking a dig at anyone or the industry. The film, however, will have the realistic touch that every Madhur Bhandarkar film has.”

Fashion also stars Kangana Ranaut, who plays a model. The film has a host of celebs from the film fraternity and fashion industry making guest appearances.
