Move over Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. If 2008 belongs to someone it is Priyanka Chopra. While the two KKs have pretty much dominated the showbiz scene in India for some time now, it looks like Piggy Chops is all set to take over from here.

2007 was a great year for Katrina Kaif. She belted out four huge hits – Namaste London [IN PICS: Namaste… and other surprise hits of 2007], Apne [REVIEW: Deols pack a punch], Partner [REVIEW: It’s a yawn!]and Welcome [REVIEW: Two thumbs up for this Akki starrer].

Kareena Kapoor also managed to hog a good amount of limelight with her onscreen performance in Jab We Met [REVIEW: JWM rocks!] and off-screen drama with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

But from what it seems, neither Kareena Kapoor (who already started the year with a dud called Tashan) nor Katrina Kaif may be in the race this year after all.

Priyanka, on the other hand has about five films releasing this year. Agreed three of them are projects that ware almost shelved and delayed for quite some time. So is it just lady luck smiling at her this year or will Priyanka Chopra finally manage to get into the league of the top heroines. That remains to be seen.
