Now here’s interesting news! In the book Love and Sex with Robots, author David Levy says that researchers believe that romantic relationships between humans and robots will soon become a reality. He then even moves on to consider the mechanics of actually having sex with them. He suggests that this phenomenon could happen by 2050.

This also reminds one of Harman Baweja-Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming film ‘Love Story 2050′, which also deals with relationships with robots.

When quizzed about this Priyanka says, “We have shown that robots can be capable of feeling certain emotions. I’m not so sure if they can feel a husband-wife or boyfriend-girlfriend type of love. But if what you are saying comes true, then it seems quite interesting.”

She adds, “In my film I share a great relationship with Boo the robot. She feels for me, she loves me and is protective about me. It’s a great feeling to have something like that around. But robot as a lover? Not too sure!”

Filmmakers and authors around the world have been fascinated by the concept of robots. From films like I,Robot, Terminator and Artificial Intelligence, they have shown robots getting involved in crimes and virtually taking control over the planet.

Ask Priyanka whether ‘Love Story 2050′ delved into this and she says, “Our film is a love story. It doesn’t go into any thing like that. It’s a journey through time in search of love,” she says. Priyanka adds, “It is a fantasy film. We did it for pure fun and excitement. No one has seen the future.”
