Ever since splitting from Kareena Kapoor the space for a costar for Shahid kapoor had fallen empty.
But according to the grapevine, Shahid is to be signed opposite Kareena’s arch rival Priyanka Chopra in a great new project.
The project starring the new hot pair is the new venture of Vishal Bharadwaj, he of the Shakespeare adaptation fame.
Contrary to reports, this movie is not part of a Shakespeare trilogy by Vishal, after Maqbool (Macbeth) and Hamlet (Om kara). It is not a remake of Romeo and Juliet as rumored.
As he says, “People would love to see me complete my Shakespearean trilogy after Macbeth (Maqbool) and Hamlet (Omkara). But I’m not doing Romeo & Julietâ€.
Shahid has confirmed his acceptance for the movie but Priyanka Chopra is yet to be confirmed.
She is currently in Miami shooting for Karan Johar’s Dostana. Vishal had traveled to Miami to sound her about his new movie. She is expected to give her nod when she returns to Mumbai in May.
Shahid is being paired with an interesting mix of leading ladies post Kareena’s exit like Vidya Balan, Jiah Khan and now, Priyanka Chopra.
