After giving the cold shoulder to Priyanka Chopra for the longest time, Salman Khan extended the proverbial olive branch to his pretty colleague at a social do recently. The duo walked in separately at Peter Mukerjea’s (of INX Media) party recently.

They conveniently looked through each other till later in the evening when many of the guests just started leaving. Salman urged Priyanka to sit down with him, and the soon they were seen engrossed in serious conversation.

Priyanka even broke into tears during the conversation, say eyewitnesses. Salman was surprisingly calm and addressed all the issues that Priyanka brought up. An eyewitness informs, “As the guests started leaving, Salman and Priyanka started talking to each other.

They spoke after several months, and both were extremely cordial with each other. Priyanka had terminated all kinds of communication with Salman after she was unceremoniously dropped from London Dreams at Sallu’s orders.”

Eventually, they hugged each other before leaving the venue. Our source informs, “No one knows what went wrong between the two. They have buried their differences, and they have started talking to each other.”

A quick look at the Sallu-Priyanka feud: It started sometime last year when Sallu got Priyanka replaced with girlfriend Katrina in a film. Obviously, it left a bad taste in Priyanka’s mouth and she hit back by turning down a meaty role opposite Sohail Khan in Mr and Mrs Khanna, also featuring Salman and Lara Dutta.

Their lack of chemistry while filming for Rumi Jaffery’s God Tussi Great Ho also spoke volumes about their cold war. Things had reached a flashpoint when Salman even refused to touch or embrace Priyanka while filming a romantic song. Once, Salman arrived early on the sets and was forced to wait for Priyanka to finish her make-up.

When Priyanka arrived, the two had a heated argument and Salman asked the director to pack up. But an eyewitness on the sets clarifies, “Whatever differences were brewing between Salman and Priyanka have been sorted out for good. Salman and Priyanka have talked things over, and everything is running smoothly on the sets. The shooting is progressing well.”

When quizzed about the patch-up, Salman’s business manager, Vikas says, “Yes, they met recently. But I won’t know the details. They are friends anyway.” Meanwhile, Priyanka’s business manager didn’t deny the incident. He said, “Please speak to her media manager for a quote.”

Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan remained unavailable for comment.
