Controversies aren’t exactly new to Priyanka Chopra. And though she has always maintained a dignified silence over her personal life, the latest is that the actress is livid at reports linking her to cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

“Priyanka is infuriated,” shares a friend of Priyanka’s in Mumbai. “At first, she was completely flabbergasted when she heard the story, more so because she doesn’t even know the guy, forget about them being good friends or dating one another! Priyanka has just met him at a professional ad campaign of a cola brand, that’s it!”

A miffed Priyanka apparently told her friend over the phone from Namibia, “I honestly don’t know where such baseless stories crop up from! For god’s sake, both Dhoni and I are brand ambassadors of a cola brand and did a couple of campaigns together along with a host of other brand ambassadors of the same brand. We’ve just met couple of times and at best, exchanged pleasantries with one another.”

But there were reports of Dhoni being a regular visitor on Priyanka’s film sets. “That’s absolute rubbish. The question of him visiting her on her film shoots doesn’t arise,” says Priyanka’s friend.

Rumour mills also suggested that Priyanka will soon be going on a holiday with ‘dear friends’ Harman and Dhoni. “Priyanka doesn’t have time to breathe.

She has her calendar booked with back-to-back shoots and promotions. Where does she have the leisure to scoot off on a vacation with anyone? All these reports are completely baseless,” clarifies the source.

Meanwhile a Mumbai tabloid also ran a story about Priyanka proposing marriage to Harman at a suburban Chinese restaurant. “Priyanka didn’t say much about this, but she was obviously very angry with story.

It is completely untrue and baseless. Nothing of the sort happened, and no one has popped the question to anyone. Harman too, is silent over this issue,” says the friend.
