After Shah Rukh Khan launched the ‘Lead India’ campaign, it received a tremendous response from all over the country, with over 32,500 applications.
After going through a gruelling screening process, 64 candidates have been shortlisted as potential leaders.
Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra now comes forward and appeals the people to choose their leader from these finalists. TIMES NOW gives you a peek into the making of the video.
A dinghy court room set is being put into place at Mumbai’s Film City and it’s Priyanka Chopra shooting the second video for Times of India’s ‘Lead India’ campaign aimed at motivating the youth of the country.
Actress Priyanka Chopra after being on the floor for over 16 hours befits the choice for being one of its ambassadors.
“I think it’s very different and that’s what made me want to do it. I think it’s very important and the initiative is going to give a lot of young, intelligent citizens from the country who have a lot of potential to go out and say ‘I can, and how about me.’”
Angelo Dias is the man behind the words of the campaign and the face of it clearly wants to be involved.
“I think, I would be very excited to pick my own leader and that would be somebody young who would understand my thoughts and understand what I feel and how I want to
live in a country,” the actress says.
Lead India, turns the searchlight on doers who push the envelope, constantly raise the bar. A campaign that emphasizes the importance of now condemning procrastination.
Belonging to the younger breed of Bollywood actresses, Priyanka is extremely eager about choosing her own leader.
“The fact that Times of India is actually giving the confidence to people to say, ‘get up and say that you can’ and ‘we may pick you’, is fantastic.
I would love it if somebody came to me and said that, ‘You look like a leader, you look like somebody I would have confidence in.”
